HbA1c and A1C - Bethyz

Posted: Jun 27, 2010

Can anyone clarify for me? When typing A1C, the "C" is capped as oppossed to HbA1c the "c" is not capped? Is that correct?

I am so grateful to all of you who take the time to help me continue learning!

Personally I never capitalize that c...just A1c. n/m - Oracle

Thank you. When I google it, I see it both ways, hence the question regarding which is correct. Thank you so much!

the 1 and c are subscript - je suis MT

As you probably know, many systems can't accept formatted text but correctly written, the "1" and the "c" are subscript (the "1" subscript to the "A", and the "c" subscript to the "1". See link.

Awesome info! Thanks! - bethyz
