H. pylori or H pylori - jkayalex

I am confused, a LONG time ago I was informed somewhere to drop the period in E Coli and H pylori, but now I've been called out on it as an error and I'm trying to find "proof" to back up why I've been doing it WITHOUT the period for so long! I'm sure in this case it's going to boil down to that's how this specific hospital wants it, but I just want reassurance that I'm not nuts, lol! Both stedmans path/lab and AAMT BOS, 2nd edition show it WITH the period, but I know they are old and outdated. THANKS!

Should add however--it is however the client prefers, - have some that do, some that do not. NM

MD states what sounds like, "She was given D4 antibiotic treatment but could not tolerate it on her stomach and after seven days stopped it." This antibiotic tx was for Helicobacter pylori. I can almost make myself think he is saying, "She was given the full abx tx but then the sentence would not really make sense, would it? Can anyone help? Dictating MD is a neurologist and referring is Internal Medicine. Thanks!!! ...
