Ear buds or Earphones - deadre

Does anyone have recommendations for a good brand of these? I've read about the Sony Noise cancelling headphones that many of you like, but I really don't prefer the type that cover the whole ear. I wear glasses and after a time, my ears get kind of sore from the cup pressing on my ears over the glasses. I need good clarity and noise cancelling though. I wonder if the Sony brand earbuds would also be of good quality?

I really the Shure earphones, but they are kind of expensive (about $100). They are very comfortable in your ear and you can thread the wire back behind your ears so it doesn't get in the way when you are typing. My naughty puppy recently chewed mine up though and I didn't have the money to spend to replace them right now. I got a pair of JVC marshmallow earphones and they work almost as well. The only part I don't like about them is that the wire is in front and sometimes I catch it when typing. Other that that the sound quality and noise cancelling is just about as good. Having a good fit with the foam earbuds does cut down a lot on noise, even they though don't have active noise cancelling. The white noise from the active noise cancelling headphones/earphones is distracting and bothers me.

I will be purchasing hearing aids soon and have two related questions. What type of headphones can I use, if at all, with: In-ear hearing aids, Behind-the-ear hearing aids. Would also be nice to know where I can get same at a decent price. At this time I purchase my transcription gear at Martel Electronics. Thanks, all, and keep that volume turned down (no my hearing didn't go that way; I am just getting older). ...
