what is the use of pending??? - new but old

Why do I bother to pend anything at all??? Out of maybe 30 reports I pend 2 reports and those are only pended for leaving over the allotted number of blanks or because I am unsure about something of which I clearly state it in the pend note and then to get marked off as a major error because I PENDED it and the reason that is left is what I said in the first place. I was unsure of something in the demographic section because the speaker did not clearly state any number to match it up to and there were more than one that fit the only criteria that I had and they had all the identical information but one piece was different. It could have been either one as the speaker/physicians were identical all the way across, dates were same, etc I was unsure which one to pick so I pended it and then get marked off with some nasty note left in the QA box quoting the specs which I KNOW!!! Thanks for starting my day off with just one more reason to keep looking for another job.

pending - frustration

I hear you! I am so frustrated with sending things to QC because I can't understand what is being said and getting errors because I leave blanks because I still can't understand what is being said after spending enormous amounts of time on reports which, of course, brings down the LPH. I work on a very difficult account and I work so hard to get everything correct only to end up with a major error of some kind and I have NO way to listen to the report again to hear "how it sounds." How can this be "learning experience" if I can't hear what it supposedly sounds like for the next time that exact same thing might or might not every be said again???? Feel like I just can't win anymore. Sorry for venting so early in the day - just so frustrating to wake up and start shift to good old error email.

I agree with both above posts. How is FIESA supposed to be a learning experience? When you get dinged cause you sent it to THEM for help in the first place?

They are trying to discourage pending. They are also trying to get you if you pend. Sometimes it is unavoidable, but if you do pend, you better make sure it is a perfect document:

At any rate, I believe the "a couple" can be used without the "of" if you say "a couple hundred" (as per YOUR quote - "frequently used with periods of time and numbers" - i.e. hours, years) but in this instance "a couple blanks," it would appear to be incorrect or, if casual or slang, not really appropriate for an employment ad. Blanks are not a period of time or a number.

Here it is end of September and still no bonus - in place for QC. I started here

in August as QC and am told bonus is on hold right now for all QC so apparently the MLS aren't the only ones getting the shaft.

Hmmmm.....obvious to me that you cannot read and COMPREHEND. I said I love my job. It's the QC shenanigans that make me furious.

I don't get why QC is paid tons more than the person doing all the original work - SUCKS!!

They just don't have a clue. I wish the CEOs that keep contracting with them would look at this board for 1 hour. Maybe, but probably not, it would deter them from being so ____ cheap.

Anyone on Editscript version 11, word 2013, having trouble getting the pending process to 'save.' It has been very hit and miss with me, so I cannot work on the account that really needs it.
