Today I will make less than half of what I normally get because all I've gotten today are crappy, hard to understand dictators, both ESL and English-speaking. Seems like all I get lately are the hard to understand, mush-mouth dictators. Guess Nuance doesn't want their MTs making quota. Sorry. I just had to vent. ...

When I tried to sign back on at 9 p.m. PST (midnight EST), I could not get in, and the DEP light was red. Having issues with slow program in MT window as well, voice and transcription both stopping completely, cursor gone, mouse arrow gone, no control while computer thinks its way through. Takes several to 5 minutes to "wake up" and give me control of pedal and screen. Has happened several times, and I have lots of stats in a row. If I keep going may lose my work. A new ESL dictating a DS. Can't speed him up because he's too "new" (to this country?). He is spelling every other word!!!!!! It really annoys me when some providers wait weeks, or months, to do their dictation, and then all of a sudden they're stats, even though the patient won't be back for weeks or months, or prn. I'm new to having to work work for a service. Recently the only work availabe has been the absolutely worst dictator I have ever done in my 25 years transcribing for hundreds of different doctors and specialties.
