Ltd on paystub - .

Does anyone know what Ltd on our paystubs mean?  It shows up twice on mine, first under the earnings, then again under other deductions where that amount is taken off.

Possibly long-term disability? - NM

(Old, old info, but I think it still fully applies): "Beginning with your first NTS paycheck, you will also see the Long Term Disability (LTD) ''chargeback'' reflected in your pay statement. This will show the premium for your LTD benefits being added to your earnings, and then subtracted as a benefit deduction. As you heard during the benefits webinar, this approach results in you paying a modest amount of tax on the premium payment, which will provide for an advantageous tax-free benefit should you ever receive payments under the LTD plan."

Thanks! - nm
