I have a Windows 7 computer that is 64 bit that I got last year when my old one died. It is compatible, at least with the clients I'm working on.

As for Windows 8 or other versions, no clue.

How exactly did they make yours a 32 bit? That would require formatting the drive and reinstalling Windows 32 bit. That would also mean that if you had more than 4 GB of RAM, you could only use 3.5 of it!

I, too, had 2 versions of IE and they weren't a problem. Actually, I have both IE and Firefox and some things work in one while some other things work in another.

Back to the original poster... pretty much any new computer is going to be 64 bit since the newer computers tend to come with at least 4 GB of RAM, and the 32 bit operating systems just can't handle that!

I was going to apply to QED but found that they do not take applicants from California. Does anyone know if Chartnet is compatible with windows 8? I am getting so many winsock and other crazy errors everytime Im working with Chartnet - losing productivity. Hi there. I have taken a job with a company who uses editscript which they tell me is only compatible with Windows XP. I am running Windows 7. On microsofts home page they have a download that will allow you to run 7 in XP mode for compatibility with older programs.
