MModal is so cruel). i get an actual straight transcription job, but it is an ortho op note, which aren't always so easy, and the sound is awful, so i'm having to leave a QA marker in almost every sentence. so goodbye paycheck. I'll get punished monetarily because of their problems. if its not the dictators talking too fast, its the sound quality making it impossible to understand anything they are saying. but lets not correct any of this by talking to the dictators or fixing their equipment. lets just penalize the MTs by paying them less for not being able to do the impossible. i'm so depressed.

abandoned that report, after getting through almost half of it with about 60 QA markers, its just wasn't worth it. then i signed back in and there it was again. so i signed back out and with an hour to go of my shift, i'm done for the night. i sent an email explaining my meltdown and said i was going to go dream about working for a place that values its employees and face reality tomorrow. i hate this place so much.

didn't toss and turn worrying. Lots of other posters have talked about how good it felt to be valued in a new job. MM is too much stress for very little return. Make your dreams a reality and walk...

I don't mean to sound unsympathetic to you, but dang it is nice to hear that someone else is suffering exactly the way I am -- it makes me feel not so alone and totally miserable. When this happens to me, I hang up, go watch TV for a bit or play Free Cell and then go back in and finish my shift. I have either 2 years (early retirement) or 5 years (regular retirement), and I just think of it as doing time.

Only because it sticks someone else with the dirty deed. But I darn sure will fly through and leave a kazillion markers and a note why..Sooner or later, Im gonna get fired, but I don't care anymore. Maybe it will wake up someone on the facility side that there is actually a problem.

I have a dictator who consistently refers to the "dorsum of both feet" instead of using the plural dorsa. I haven't changed it yet because he is referring to BOTH feet. I was thinking that if he said, "dorsum of each foot," this would be correct, but in this case, isn't wouldn't the correct phrasing be "dorsum of both feet?" Thanks for your feedback! ...
