Maybe it's the holiday season when everyone else seems so nice . . then we have MModal. Is anyone else as down as I am? They increased our insurance premiums, cut back the time we acrrue on PTO, not to mention the miserable pay. I asked for time off around Christmas, just got denied. Now I'm over my limit but the requests are closed!! Can't get answers cause everyone is so overworked or they're on their OWN time off! Feeling like something MModal scrapes off the bottom of its shoes right now. So much for being able to enjoy a holiday.

Yes, you are not alone. I am sure everyone who is an Mmodal employee is feeling like you. I just sent my TSA a note stating that fact and will probably be terminated, as I have not heard back from her. I was switched to a "different team" with no prior notice and put on about 30 different accounts and expected to learn them overnight, while getting 5 to 6 different emails a day for each account. I have not made line count since I was switched, but I don't know what to do. I am still getting several different accounts every shift and they switched my hours to 1 PM to 6 PM and then 10 PM to 2 PM so all I do is work and sleep. No consideration for the employee that is making them their money and they are shipping all our work to India where they pay those poor people horrible wages and stand on top of them while they produce. Have you seen the offices over there? Mmodal is trying to force everyone in the US to quit or be fired for not producing so they can run to India. it is just sad. i feel like i am under everyone's thumb. if it isn't MModal, its my 92 year old mother who just nags and has to control everything. sometimes working is a joyous escape from having to interact with her. and then i start working and just feel so...well, like you said, something on the bottom of everyone's shoes. thats a great line, btw.

I know, I was turned down. But if it works out like it normally does, if you don't get work in so much time, then take your PTO time off. There will not be much work at all, and it beats sitting there waiting for any to come through. They are being terrible about time off. I wanted to take time off after NY, and you would have thought I was asking them to let me take it off without pay. There is no excuse in this. I know one thing, calling off sick may be the answer the next time for us both. This company is very distressing to the worker bees. I am counting the weeks until I can retire.

I just got this fabulous job with this company a few months back that is strictly straight typing. I have been an MT for over 20 years at this point. I took a job with a MTSO doing editing for a couple of years and think I lost my rhythm. My problem is is that my production is supposed to be 1200 lines per day (8 hour shift). I left Nuance to go to Amphion and today, Amphion fired me. I was on their most difficult account with 73 pages of acct specs, tried as I may, could not get a qc score to pass. They're min was 98.8, mine was 98.64. Hopefully I can collect from the inhouse job I had last year. I'm beginning to think I wasted 12k on school for nothing. Be kind with any bashing, please.
