Don't be too quick to tag this all as drama. I have been with MQ for about 12 years. I left and came back 1-1/2 years ago. I was told many things in being hired back that were not true. Then I was micro-managed when I came back. Things have settled down and I am very fortunate to still have enough work, although not on my primary account.
Please know that this is not just all drama. It is very stressful if you are the main bread-winner. If not,may not be quite so bad for you, if you are okay with ups and downs, daily.
I was told on being rehired that I would get approximately 60% MT, 40% ASR. I get about 99% ASR and was pretty much told, "Oh well." Of course, what I calculated I would be making was way, way off and has cost me a lot of financial stress. My pay is at least 40% less than when I left about 2 years ago. Not drama, fact.
I have done a very good job, I believe, of keeping up with changes and technology, but if MQ had to post salaries, I truly believe you would see this is not drama. There are a few exceptions who, based on account, amount of ASR, etc, have kept their income up. I totally believe they are the exception. The only way I could be convinced otherwise would be to see the salaries of MT/ME's posted, showing percentage of ASR.
If you get on board, hopefully you will get a great account and great CCM and not have any heartache. Then you can avoid this board and all of us "complainers." Or you may quickly join us.
I was with MQ when ASR was rolled out, helped roll the program out and made suggestions that helped, at that time. I know it backwards. I have asked for, and recieved help from the training department, which did nothing to increase my productivity on ASR.
Pretty sad to have our venting over serious problems referred to as drama, but the old saying, walk a mile in my moccassins. I wish you luck. I am currently looking to get out of transcription after about 13 years, just too much stress and can never count on my paycheck.
Footnote, even if I am a complainer, I have always had excellent audits, have gotten raises, back in the day helped with QA when they got behind. And I am sure many of my "fellow drama queens" are the same.
