Does anyone know if EMRs still even have a pause command? Do dictators have any concept that they are forcing us to sit idly without pay while they flip pages looking for lab results, or reviewing a chart? Maybe the MTSOs should advise their clients that if they want their reports back within the specified TAT that they cannot waste hours of our time sitting and doing nothing. ...

Last night I was stuck editing an ESL doctor who pauses so long between words my hourly rate dropped down to less than $2. an hour! I filed & painted all my nails between words, cleaned and organized my desk and sat for an agonizing minutes with nothing to do but wait. The neighbors could probably hear my yelling "COME ON!!!!! What happened?? With my own accounts I've worked for 100 different doctors and every single one used the pause as a standard courtesy. Today - not ONE single dictator uses it, yet some still keep saying "sorry" when they have more than 10 seconds of dead air time. Do the dictators now consist of a new generation of rudeness or did they "forget" to include a "PAUSE" command in the programs??? ...

She was advised to increase her afternoon "pause" volume to 2 liters. s/l pause volume, but there is no document of that- Could it be something else..? ...
