Alright, we know about MQ settling lawsuits with both clients and employees, but did you know there was a class action lawsuit filed against MQ by stockholders they've had to settle this year? Wonder who's left they can try and rip off? Wouldn't it just be easier and cheaper for them to do the right thing and be honest in their dealings with everyone? I've always heard that people who have the most education usually have no common sense. This seems to be true for the people making the decisions in this company.
Do You Mean the 401K Plan? - Old MT

I know they stopped adding to our 401K plan a long time ago, but there was a notice they sent that they would put in what they could when they could, and it basically came to zero on their side. However, I kept it. It's still my money and will come in very handy when I retire. I also don't pay taxes on it.

No, this had nothing to do with our 401K's. The lawsuit by the stockholders had something to do with MQ's "fiduciary duties." I don't necessarily understand legal terminology, but it sounds like it had something to do with the number of stock holdings that were converted during the whole merger process. Just look up MQ lawsuits 2011, and you'll find it, and maybe understand the details better than I did.

Apparently the "suits" haven't realized it's easier, and often cheaper, just to do the right thing, and not lie and cheat people. I now work in a position where I deal with people and large amounts of $$$ on a daily basis. It really is easier if you just tell the truth, that way you don't have to remember who you told what lie to. I'd say you sleep better at night also, but the Q doesn't have a conscience....

I'm not particularly religious, but I do believe in the concept of KARMA, a/k/a "what goes around comes around." KARMA is going to bite them right where they need it--and perhaps sooner than they suspect.

Just Got A Check In The Mail From The DOL Landmark Settlement! Apr 03, 2015It was about twice the amount I was expecting, if I was to get anything at all! I'm pleasantly shocked! The DOL had called me about a month ago to ask me several questions about when I had worked there. The letter included with the check from Landmark said that they don't agree with it, but agreed to pay it anyway. LOL Hopefully there will be some other former Landmark employees who will also be getting a nice surprise in their mailboxes! ...
