Remedy - No "time off without pay" anymore?!!! - kriscro2

Just went into Remedy to report NJA, and went to check "time off w/o pay", and that option is no longer there!  Now it's just "PTO" or "make up time!"  So now they are saying even though they can't supply us the work during our scheduled shift, they expect us to either dip into our vacation days (of which there are very few, and they expect us to take the holidays as a vacation day as we get no paid holidays) or we have to cut into our family time/weekends to make up the time!  Well that made me BOIL OVER!  Just wrote a nice note to my super about that, indicating to her that under no circumstances will I cut into my weekends or time with my family to make up work just because the company doesn't have enough during my scheduled time to work.  This company has gone from being the best company to work for to being the ABSOLUTE WORSE company to work for!  I HAVE HAD IT WITH THEM!  I am counting the days until my days with them are over, which is very, very soon!

This is old news! You can go into timework or whatever it is called and go under leave and take unexcused absence and you don't have to make up your time. You get 13 unexcused absences a year.

so they tell me I can only use these few little "unexcused absences" for vacations. Second of all,the company not being able to provide me enough work to fill my shift should not be considered an "unexcused absence" on my part, as I am sitting here in front of my computer ready and able to work.

I beg to differ. I just went through this exact thing with the PTO and no work situation. I have claimed "unexcused absence" many many times, BUT with a different HDSM. Yep! I have a new HDSM now and she said NO WAY. It's PTO or make up time only. I said that is ____ ____! Why should I have to take PTO because MM has run out of work? (I got no response from her.) Imagine that! This company is the worst. Most controlling company I have ever worked for in my life. I went to part-time to keep my sanity, but that is waning quickly. Can't stand working for this company. Hopefully I can make it to full retirement, 3 more years.

When TL bought out the company I worked for, they treated us horribly from the beginning, starting with dismantling the old office while we were still working there to moving us to a converted garage which had neither adequate heat nor air-conditioning. Lots of posters here say how great TL was - well, from my perspective, things started going downhill as soon as TL took over.

I started with Transcriptions, Ltd. in 1992. They were wonderful to me. We got rewarded for our hard work, and the bonuses were great. I just loved working for them. I am sorry your experience was not as good. I truly am surprised. I was hired out of the Feasterville, PA office.

but we had a very nice office in Denver before TL took over. After they did, they started dismantling the office while we were still there. We came in each day and had to walk over wires, cables, abandoned equipment, etc. One of the MTs finally notified the fire dept which came in and said they had to clean it up or move us out. They moved us into the converted garage which was not yet finished. We had workmen in the roof area over our heads, dropping debris onto our desks. They never added separate heating or air conditioning so it was as low at 58 degrees and as high as 90 at different times. The money was still good though.

When it is dictated that the patient had knee surgery, (a couple of other procedures), then says rotator cuff and patella surgery... would that be considered a repeat of the knee surgery?   How am I supposed to know if when he dictated this, he was referring to the same surgery or not?   I blanked it and got an error on a post audit.   If I had repeated a DX in the list, I would have been marked off for that---cannot win either way.      ...

What is the point of Remedy posting when there are no jobs- nothing ever gets addressed. Only hear volumes are low!! When am I going to wise up and just throw in the towel. I waste more money by doing this job, no time to cook, clean, etc...I would save money by not worrying about the work. However, If I could work my full shift it would be worth it. Am I being told something, just to stubborn to listen? ...

I keep getting some error message. I don't really feel like wasting my time calling support. I really would like to report the problem with QASAR even though I doubt it will get fixed. At least telling them will give me some twisted satisfaction. I have not been able to scroll through the report, and even though clicking on an input link will take me to that point in the report, I cannot scroll back up to the top again ...

Nobody has said "boo" to me about DQS 7, and if there is any relationship to needing it for Remedy 7.6.  Does that mean I missed something?  I'm not going to DL anything until I'm told to do so.  Took the Remedy tutorial.  Had some serious issues getting into training, but finally, with the help of Support got in.  If you are having problems, I would suggest calling ASAP, because my issues spanned over the course of 2 days until it got resolved. ...

how long does it take to train for remedy and do we get paid for that?  I highly doubt it but thought I would ask.  Here we are again taking time from our day having to train for yet another BS program without getting a dime and they will probably change it up again in a year and we have to train yet again for BS and not get paid again.  If we got paid for all the crap we do that is somebody elses job then we might actually make some money!! ...

I didn't do the training for Remedy 7.6 when I was supposed to (dumb, I know) and haven't had to use support since QA was dismantled.  Now, out of jobs today I need to leave a message with Remedy but when I try to check in using my name and password (leaving authentication blank), I get a message saying "ARERR (9388) authentication failed".  I have no idea what that means or how to get into Remedy.  I am also unable to get into the online training videos for Remedy by by ...

When you have NJA and go into Remedy to get a number there's a place where you select what you want to do (PTO, release from shift or make up time).  There used to be a choice for "none of the above" before Remedy.  I have NJA right now and did my 15 minutes to get paid for that but there's still NJA.  I don't want to be released this early into my shift and I don't want to use PTO or make it up.  What do you guys do in this situation? ...

Obviously, even though the classification is urgent, they just pass NJA tickets through and don't even try to find any work when requested. Since no one, i.e. a CCM or RTL, covers second and third shift, these shifts have no chance of getting more work - even though I can see there is a large amount of days' late jobs in an account I have done before (as a 'helper') and I put that information on the NJA ticket and stated that I wanted work.
