I agree with you. My ASR isn't even hardly putting - English any more.

Just jibberish and stuff that is not even close. I got irritated with "close" (to, two, and too), but this is ridiculous.

All these hospitals & MTSOs who believed the VR - myth sure got taken to the cleaners! Fools.

Hospitals and MTSOs didn't get taken, WE did! We are the ones making the corrections and sending the corrected reports to them at a reduced pay rate.

I was one of the earliest group to start using ASR. When I was initially taught, we were told NOT to over-correct; implying that the agreement with the hospitals was that the ASR reports might be a little less than word-for-word perfect as to what the doctor was saying and that would be okay. Needless to say, that changed and we are now expected to correct everything down to the nit-pickiest word or comma, so that the hospital really sees NO difference between ASR reports and those transcribed the usual way.

We're the chumps getting paid less to take care of all the garbage that comes through.

Does MQ "own" our ASR - anybody know? - dumbdumb

Our local hospital uses VR, but they pay for each report that they accept the VR on, so they are encouraged to toss anything that is a standard or is going to have to be edited a lot. I assume the price is not really cheap and if it isn't to their advantage, they don't use it.

It is so clearly not! The account I was on had excellent ASR. Now it is horrible, entire phrases missed, arbitrary periods, arbitrary automatic numbering, not to mention obvious and clear dictation populated as gobblyspeak. I have given this program a chance, I am very tech savvy when it comes to programs and learn them quickly, this program has so many glitches I find it incredulous any actual MT beta tested it.
