You don't have to do the entire dictation in one breath, honest. And stop slurring..Gonna be a loooonnng day I can see it already.

I really enjoy it when they are clicking hard candy - against their teeth all the time.

I get one who's a great dictator but as soon as she begins, she stops and plops a hard candy or maybe a cough drop in her mouth. From then on, I'm very aware of every sound she makes from rolling it around in her mouth while dictating.

Another female dictator, again very good, has a habit of saying "please" with every new paragraph or heading, or listing, with there ending up being dozens that have to be deleted out.

Do a search for please and replace with nothing - val

Snot, hard candy, filler noise. I always think I have been more intimate with these people than I have ever wanted to be! Ugh.

Got an RN dictating alphabet soup -- ER, CHF, CAD, CABG, INR, DOE, JVD, TURP. . . a medication that she can't get close enough to pronouncing for me to get close enough to spelling, and then to top it all off, a hgb of 113.7. Nothing on previous report look-up is a help for this one! But I bet she got a raise -- not a pay cut ~~ ...
