What are 2010 Rates of pay? - australianannie

I know rates of pay have plummeted in the past year or two. Most of the posts I can find for average rates of pay are from 2 yrs ago or older. Ballpark estimates for experienced transcriptionists please, both straight transcribing and VR:

Hospital Acute care?

Clinic notes?

Radiology? (per line and per report rates)

You are cruel. I am losing my job. I am not looking for leads about how much to charge people or pay people. I am a slave to this profession unfortunately and working for crap. I would get out in a heartbeat if I had something else lined up.

Doctor/clinical notes?

Yes, they are depressing and insulting; but I need to know. I get paid hourly at the moment, so its new to me.

I've been in the industry for 12 years. Pay rates haven't moved in that amount of time. Across the board you are looking at anywhere from .06-.10 per 65. Radiology pays a little more as does acute care *sometimes* depends on the MTSO. It's sad really - our trx deserve MUCH more than the crap they are paying out there!!!

When I bullet something after a heading it is creating a space between the heading and the first bullet. I had entered MANY auto text entries a couple months ago and now they are all gone. Is there a way to search for them or recover them? I just downloaded a free trial of a medical/pharmaceutical dictionary and when I went to import it into my custom dictionaries, it says it must be converted to a Unicode document before importing. Need to buy MS Word for my new job. However, when I purchased the 2007 version online it was an "academic version" only. Can't use that. I guess I have to buy a newer version, like 2010 or 2013, but it seems like the only way to do that is via download and then you pay a subscription of ??? per month or year?
