Salary at early 1990s level - Hummer05

I have been with my current company for a number of years, but due to a number of changes that have been instituted in just the last few years, I have realized about a 37% reduction in income, at the same time that I am considered "one of their best," and am back to my income level of the early 1990s. I see foreclosure looming. That VR/SR has become the majority of the work is the largest factor in this drop. Are there MTs who are working for companies with little or no VR/SR that are pleased with their company and would be willing (if these companies are currently hiring) to share the name and whatever other information they are comfortable with about the company with me? I definitely consider that I have been loyal to hang on this long, but I literally cannot afford to anymore. Thanks for your help.

Maybe you are, but the name of game is working smarter, not necessarily faster. WE have to keep up with technology. I, too have been a MT for over 20 years now and it is quite different thant it was when I started, but I came to the conclusion that I need to invest in my self, have a great running computer, the best keyboard. comfortable chair, work at my peak hours for me, etc., and it did make a difference. I only say this because most of the companies are the same, or will be the same.

Co-workers Signing Off Shift Early

Do any of you have this problem? There are several us on one particularly account. They will either sign off 5-6 hours into their 8 hr shift (saying they've met their minimum quota)or sometimes on weekends just leave work not done til the next day. Well, after last thursday night such bad dictators and made no money--so just getting min wage, I finally retired 10 working days early.
