Can anyone offer any information about Inscribe Transcription Company? Thanks...

I haven't applied for another company ever so I looked at theirs, and what in the world! Very confusing I am so new to the MTSO world... is this normal looking? Finally getting to their "current openings" screen and it gives like a block schedule with (1H) or (1R) in parenthesis after some of the times ? what does that mean? and also, it says the transcription platform you must have. Do they offer that if that is not what I am currently on? I looked for contact information and I must be blind... oh it's one of those mornings...

If you want to work, and can be independent, the work is there. You can have multiple accounts. Keep your head down, do you own MTing, and you will keep your job. QA standards are high, but fair. If you do poor quality work, go some place else. They have direct deposit. Never had a pay check late. The H and R on their site may be related to Hospital and Radiology? Don't know. Send an e-mail and ask.

I did work for Inscribe a few years ago and was not that impressed. First, it took me forever to get my own "dongle" that you needed to access their system. I had to call someone every time I worked and sometimes, I could not get a hold of someone, which took away from my time and money. Also,instead of a certain time of being on QA, they had me do 10 reports and thats it. then, I found out about the pay deduction they do for QAing your work. That ticked me off, you basically give me no learning curve and then charge me to QA? Seriously? I was gone in a heartbeat. It would be rare to find much on here about anyone praising their job, mostly negativity, but IMO, I would not try them.

InScribe does not charge you for QA'ing of your documents.

There is no such thing as a "dongle" to connect to any account with InScribe. The IT dept sets the MT up and not with a "dongle."

The dongle is actually a key fob with a security code that changes every so many minutes and is synchronized with the client server. A "dongle" is usually in the form of a USB "key" that contains licensing information so that software can be accessed from one computer to another without having to buy a separate license.

I currently work for Inscribe and enjoy it immensely. I have the amount of work I want, and they have never been late with my pay. As someone else stated, they have a high accuracy requirement, but at the same time they don't require a minimum daily line count. In my opinion, they are a great group of people.

You will not get a line rate increase until you reach 99.5% and you are expected to maintain it.

I didn't mind the quality control with 99.5% accuracy or consistent shift (stated IC status but treated more as an employee), it was the constant policy changes and threats of release of contract all the time. Although I know these e-mails and IMs didn't apply to me, it was very intimidating and held constantly over your head. Also, there are way too many managers and coordinators butting in to each others accounts. Hopefully, they've straightened up their act over the last couple of years.

I received an e-mail saying they reviewed my resume and would like me to apply, but in doing a search on them starting base pay is 5 cpl as an IC. I have over 20 years of experience in the acute care setting and have a lot of ESL experience. I made 6 cpl/gross line as an employee when I first started 20+ years ago. I didn't list my rate of pay on my resume, but to offer me that with my experience is a joke.

Where did you see that they pay 5cpl? I have been told 7cpl until review. It is stated 7cpl in their application process also.

yesterday after I received the e-mail. Even 7 cpl is a joke for an IC. I currently make 10 cpl as an employee with better benefits than I've seen any other company provide.

most places work is very low. Part-time people are not being allowed to work and it is still very slow.

I started with InScribe about 8 months ago. I'm not sure what the rate would be for someone with so much experience, but for newbies they start at 7 cpl. After reaching 99.5% accuracy, you then go up to 9 cpl. I have seen new MTs achieve this in 1 to 2 months. They are transitioning some accounts from straight typing to VR with Dragon software. For these accounts the pay is 7 cpl. Not bad.

I love the way this company presents itself and they are the only ones so far who sent me an email from my resume posting. However, I am in the middle of their test right now, and 2 of the reports are doozies! Slow down, PLEASE Indian-accent doc! Give a girl a break!!!

Now I have finally seen everything. The MTSOs are dropping our pay so fast, they cannot even take the time to proof their job postings. Is this a typo, a Freudian slip, a harbinger of our future, or just an example of how unorganized MTSOs have become?
