Since starting my job 8 months ago, I have been without work and on an impossible account to make any kind of living wage. I specifically was told when I was hired that I would be put on a cardiology account and I agreed, since I was coming off a cardiology account at my previous job. Well, fast forward, I was put on another account and an account that is verbatim, heavy ESLs and American speaking doctors who cannot speak. Believe it or not, the account specifics are 65 pages long and counting, and follows all the correct verbage rules, et cetera. Also, on this account if you send more than 5% of your work to QA in a given pay period, you will be written up. I told my supervisor I did not sign on for this, but this fell on death ears. I thought if I just stick it out until I get my 90 days in, I could switch accounts. Well, after my 90th day, other accounts were available and I followed the proper protocol and sent unanswered emails to my supervisor to switch to the open accounts. I am an acute care MT and clinic,so any job available woud suit me. I never received a response from supervisor, so I contacted the recruiter, who promptly told me I would have to take an acute care test in order to be eligible for any new accounts. I told the recruiter, I tested in with an acute care test and I am an acute care MT.
When that did not deter me, the recruiter told me I had to get approval from my supervisor to be eligible for any new accounts. I contacted my supervisor and she never answered. So, just for the heck of it, I resent my resume into the recruiter and left off my hyphenated maiden name and only used my last name without my maiden name, and guess what the recruiter called me and said, I did not have to test due to my experience and resume, and asked how soon I wanted to start. I told the recruiter I was already an employee and wanted to switch accounts and reminded her of who I was. After this, she said she would contact me back, but I immediately got an email from my supervisor stating all employees must have achieved a consistent QA score of over 98% in order to be eligible for any new accounts. I sent my supervisor back my past three monthly QA reports of 99%, and I am waiting to hear back from her.
What is the problem? why do they hold employees back when there in not enough work on the account you were put on,yet they advertise for more MTs.
Still waiting?
