Yes it's only been 2 days, but my first impression is pretty good.
Half of Day 1 was spent in training. Second half of Day 1 was spent doing reports and sending them to QA for 100% review. This was a total of only 5 reports. At the end of Day 1, I was told that my work was "outstanding" and that I was being released from 100% review, and that from now on I was to send my work directly to the client. I was really surprised by this...seems a little fast and a very small sample size for them to take me off 100% review, and I hadn't encountered many of the "what if's" yet...(ie, what to do about unclear carbon copies or unsure patient demos or things that are unclear in the account specs, etc), but I guess I'll cross those bridges when I come to them.
Here's the really good part. Day 2, I worked my regular 8-hour shift. NO ONE BOTHERED ME ALL DAY. I was completely left alone to do my work. I know who to contact if I need help, but otherwise I didn't bug them and they didn't bug me. I hope this continues!!!
Another pleasant surprise...the VR creates the best drafts I've ever seen. There's no denying their pay per line is way too low, but I feel like I still might be able to make more than minimum wage there and not hate every minute of it. Hahaaa.
