TTD--Nonpayment - Stupid MT

*** breeched the contract by not paying. She is a thief. She stole your services and now refuses to pay for them. The client paid her...what makes her think she does not have to pay you? Contact the client, contact SGS and let them know what she did to you. Who cares if you breech the contract now. She is not responding, but I am sure the clients or SGS would respond. After all, if something is said about you breeching contract for contacting the clients or SGS...all you can say is that you are seeking answers.

Let me tell you...there are still MTs who dont get it. They are still working and making money for her...they have yet to see what it is like by not receiving a check...so, my advice is this....if you can still log in to the account....get in there...make a mess and a half out of the reports, then pend them to SGS...eventually, they will cut her off for poor quality, then she loses everything. If she can screw you and get by with it...screw her even worse.

subpoena, you can rightfully make inquiries of those owing HER money, i.e. her clients.

Contacting the clients is not going to get the money any quicker (if at all).

As an IC, you are a business. It's best to act in such a professional way. Chances are you will still need to take her to court and when the court is made aware of your contacting the clients, it is going to put you in a bad light and not help your cause any.

It's a bad situation, yes, but why stoop to this same level as the guilty party? Think about it. Revenge is not the mature, responsible thing to do. Believe me, I've been in this situation before of not being paid. I took the proper steps and eventually did get my money.

You're right. Revenge is not the right way to go...but when I see my 3 kids sitting here starving, because mommy has not gotten a check...it makes me want to destroy Amy. Guarantee her kids arent hungry tonight.

what I want to know is WHY? is this TTD company not posted on the nonpayment board and furthermore, those who think they havetohonor their contract... that contact became nil and void when she quit paying, so it is no longer a legal contract.

The way I understand it is that the moderators of this board require some kind of proof of nonpayment. I am also sure that it is hard to list someone as nonpaying when there are others who have gotten paid. I have never NOT gotten a check and I have been here 6 years off and on. Yes, there was one time that a check was delayed, but that was corrected immediately. Once in all of the time I worked here. I know many others that have gotten paid correctly, on time, without incident. I have only heard of a very small minority through this board of people who have not gotten paychecks.

I got a check yesterday, but ONLY FOR ONE DAY'S WORK FOR TWO WEEKS WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Does she think she is funny???? I have bills I have to pay... just like everyone else. My electric bill is about to be d/c'd and if I don't have electric, I get booted from my apartment. But she doesn't care about that, does she?... Don't give me this story about how you only have heard about a handful of people not getting checks, lady. You live in a dream world!

You are WRONG! It is a small minority who have actually GOTTEN PAID! Apparently you don't know what minority means. Those waiting on checks are MUCH greater than those of you who claim you are getting paid and for those of us who worked with you...we know why you continue to stick up for Amy. Consider yourself lucky that you have gotten paid (if that is the truth)...The way she runs her business, it is just a matter of time before you won't get paid either.

I haven't received a check since July 17. I was told my last 2 checks were cancelled and re-issued. Since I have worked for her for 2 years without a problem, I took her work for it and kept working. Now, since our checks are 4 weeks behind to start with, I worked almost 3 months for free. I have called the CA atty general and the FL atty general (where I live) and it seems no one really cares. Essentially, live with it and move on.
And yes...I was threatened with breaching my contract by contacting co-workers so I could get an answer to what was going on and find out if I was the only dupe out there.
Apparently, I am not.

Ya'll need to get together a slap one big law suit on her and the ones who claim they are getting paid... will be in the same boat you are. Also i think instead of contacting the clients, you should post a story in the business section of the local paper where the clients are located and where TTD is located and let them figure it out for themselves.. Freedom of speech allows you to publish an article on tacky companies who do not pay their employees. Wondering if you could contact the clients regarding nonpayment of THEIR work... just saying!

After all, YOU did the work for the clients, NOT TTD, so you should be paid for the work, not TTD. Let me reiterate, the CONTRACT becomes nil and void if either party breaks the contract or violates the contract in any way, so I would consider not being paid in violation of the contract.

"Freedom of speech" was put into the Constitution to prevent what happened to the Russian band who criticized Putin. It does not mean that you can say whatever you want and you cannot be edited, nor is a privately-owned publication bound to the law and can simply refuse to publish the letter.

That said ... when somebody moves with no forwarding address they don't want to be found. Can they be found, yeah, but it costs money.

I suggest that all TTD people stop transcribing IMMEDIATELY 'cause she has no intention of paying anyone. Let her deal with the services she's subcontracting from. Also, find a legal forum that offers free advice and get some ideas about how to handle this situation in the best way.

I have a signed contact with a company as of 3/15/2011 according to the contact payment for services is to be made within 5 business day of receipt of the invoices. I have done work for them, I have submitted my invoices to them for payment. This is just a warning message to hopefully prevent other MTs from going through my experience.
