Is TTS connected to Nuance in any form? - me

You never know which companies Nuance or M-Modal will eat up next, but seem slike I had heard TTS does overflow or somehow is connected with Nuance. Anyone know the truth on this one?

It's just a subcontracting deal. They are not owned by or in any other way connected to N. :-)

I work for TTS and believe that yes it is a subcontracting deal. I think though that Nuance QC are involved sometimes in checking our work.

TTS has some of their own customers, but they are primarily a Nuance subcontractor. Some of their accounts go offshore after the SR engine is trained by TTS MTs. And Nuance does QA on the TTS accounts that are subbed. That's the relationship.

after the VR is trained the ACCOUNT goes offshore sometimes. Which means Nuance takes it back and send the work out to India. TTS not involved in that. So, it is Nuance that offshores, not TTS. The accounts that TTS gets from Nuance are really still Nuance accounts, TTS just subcontracts to get the work done, hence, why Nuance will also QA the account. Make sense?

TTS subcontracts from Nuance, so although TTS may not be offshoring themselves, they are still participating by their connection with Nuance. TTS can shout we don't OS because they know that's what everyone wants to hear, but they are still participating in offshore via their connection with Nuance.

Yawn. I really do not care - US offshores as far as that is concerned

And you would know this how? Oh that's right, you don't know. There is no training on SR and then going offshore. That happened once years ago, not currently. How many large hospitals have just one company do ALL of their transcription? Not very many. Wish people would actually know what they are talking about before spreading lies. Moving on...

I worked as an IC transcriptionist in 2013 for approximately 4 months. The company sent a W-9 form and is requesting it be signed and sent back. I did not make a total of $600.00 when I was working for them, which I've understood from others that if you make less than $600.00 you don't need to send in a W-9 form. Can someone clarify on this? Can anybody PLEASE tell me the correct way to put a patient's last name on the 1500 form for a Medicare patient when the last name has three parts separted by spaces, i.e. AA BB CCC, FirstName, MI, which is the exact way the name is on the patient's Medicare card.
