I am so PISSED... seeing RED - SynernetMT

I am getting all the crappy dictators, all the crappy work types. Besides the point that we have been on Mandatory overtime for God knows how long, they allow the overtimers to choose their worktype, choose their account, so when you get on for your regular shift, all there is that is left is crap, crap, crap, can hardly make lines. Per Diems can pick and choose. I get these crappy reports that are out of turn around time because they have been skipped over. I am pisssssssssed to the max. Oh and get this, the CEO sent out a mass email about Account incentives... I'm thinking, wow it is about time they think about us poor transcriptionists, but guess what, he wants us to go out and drum up business for the company and we will get a whopping Gift Card, oh wow.... What about giving us a raise from the measely 7 cpl or put the incentive plan within reach so that maybe more than a handful of people can reach it. Okay folks forgive the typos. But I a getting so fed up, but where do you go, when all of these companies are alike.
I sympathize, but doubt it will get any better, especially with them sm - Watching things get worse

losing the big account tomorrow. I see more crappy accounts in the future, more crappy VR, and less concern for the needs/wants of the MTs (if it is possible to be even less concerned than they are now).
I hear you. - SYNMT

My work now is 90% ESL. No way I'm getting my lines with the junk I get. Sound quality is unbelievable. So that's what they're doing. Now it makes sense. They are constantly hiring, but never have enough people. Same ole song and dance about OT. VR has not gotten any better. My checks have been decreased now by $200 a month. I have started something else and hope to be out of this by the end of the year; if I can stand it that long.

Synernet used to be a good company and probably a year ago you never heard anything negative about them, just that the pay was kind of low, but now it falls along the line of Nuance and MModal, constantly hiring and going through MTs with constant complaints from MTs on here, and what Synernet has done to themselves is just ruin their reputation and make their business look as trashy as Nuance and MModal.
is funny- i was interviewed by them and since I was "working" - no name

They passed on me. They wanted another candidate. They didn't ask me if I would give my 2 weeks or if it was P/t or F/t. They just said, we will pass. Thank God for small miracles. I think I dodged a bullet!
And since JT has taken over as manager....let the micromanaging begin - bad news

You have to contact the help desk for everything........ they ask for OT but then gripe if you log on to do it without contacting the help desk. Good grief, I wish I would have chosen a different profession!
Well, waiting to log on and getting that concurrent license message is no picnic. - Grr

Mandatory OT but only when we say you can - Tell us ahead of time when you...

plan to work, and then tell us each time, and if we decide we don't need you for one day (or more), well then we'll call off MOT for that day but not reduce the amount we force you to work. So you now have to shove it all into fewer days, and then if you try to work on the days that we say are okay make sure you ask us, and then you might not be able to get on because we won't buy more licenses, but we'll just make you fit it into an even smaller amount of time. Anyone feel like a piece of trash yet?

Oh, you've summed it up beautifully! The new recruits starting next week must never read the Synernet posts on this board. If that's you --- RUN!!! You may not sneeze or use the bathroom before you contact the help desk, and your generous PTO will be unusable. That easy work you get the first week? Forget about it.
Wow, I am SO glad that I got out of there - Ex-Stupidnet MT

I left Synernet about a year ago after working there for around a year and a half. Things were getting bad then, but now it seems that they're much, much worse. They used to be one of the decent companies to work for, but things were going downhill fast right before I left. I had never experienced such a high degree of cattiness and micromanagement in my life. You couldn't even take a short break without having to announce it. Just reading some of these posts makes me so thankful that I left when I did and never looked back. That place is a slave shop. Good luck to all of you who are still there dealing with this mess. I hope you find a way out soon!
