I'm sorry this happened to you. I've heard of people applying for jobs on Indeed and other sites for nonexisting jobs only for scammers to get personal information. I applied for several jobs on Indeed that would considered more than qualified for with over 30 years experience. I kept getting canned responses "Sorry, we hired someone else," or "Please schedule an online chat." I called a few of these so-called companies, told them I applied on Indeed and wanted to verify they had listed a job opening on Indeed. Much to their surprise and mine, they said, we are not hiring and we did not list any job openings on any job sites. I wouldn't even trust any openings on this site. Honestly, I do not think anyone is actually monitoring this site because it is full of scam postings. The sad thing is they prey on people who are needing jobs, they know their vulnerabilities, and they sound way too convincing. Sites that are supposed to be a resource for job seekers have become a haven for scumbag scammers. I guess the only way we can protect ourselves is let others know. I hope you are able to recover any monetary and other damages from having your identity stolen.
