That's what I use - you can buy a whole role a lot cheaper than stockings, cut them to size and they work great. That's what my vascular doc has me doing. Measurements are available online to be able to see what size to order. Usually cheaper on eBay or Amazon. If the initial compression isn't firm enough you can double them up - to do this I cut the length double what I need then fold it over before pulling up over the feet and legs.
