and it said they use a web crawler to find jobs, so not every job they post is necessarily a company that listed with them so many are already filled weeks to months before they even get posted on Indeed. The author stated most all the job listing sites are like this. I suggest if you find a listing, try the company website to see if it's really still open. You might try LinkedIn, it has some of the same pitfalls as Indeed but is a bit better since companies can post directly to it rather than it being solely the middleman like Indeed.
