From what I can gather from the job listing and reading the website, it sounds as if they are working on a new VR platform and need people to help with editing, in some way, maybe “training” the new system? The pay is good and I don’t think it’s a typo, but there’s probably more responsibility than other MT jobs. I liked how you had the opportunity to move from a 1099 position to permanent employment. I’m glad you applied and I hope it works for you.
