Cancer registry vs health informatics, data analyst - Kasey Posted: Jan 6th, 2023 - 1:44 pm
I have an associates in health science, anatomy 1 and 2 already taken. I decided to sign up to take medical term and intro to HIT as I was interested in applying to a registry certification since I already have a 2 year. But I read if you get accepted into a job you can work for a year as well and then take the test, with taking a program?
But I am unsure whether to finish a degree in something like health science, or HIM. Or even health or business admin.
I read about clinical informatics specialist and clinical data specialist. I assume those jobs are slightly different from eachother, and there are nurse informatics as well. I am unsure what I would like more, that or registry. Data analytics may have higher pay potential but I did talk to a person who said quality assurance in cancer reg can pay $40 an hr with a contract company.
Ugh I am so lost LOL. Also I'd want to make sure the 2 classes I plan to take are also covered in a degree I finish if I did that. Can you GET a job in clinical data or informatics, with a degree in business or health admin? Or no? Do you know if any of those jobs sounds more appealing or more stress than other
