We built our house in a very rural area in Georgia and satellite has been my only option. It's not ideal -- but it is all I have available to me and I have been able to work all these years. It does go down in bad weather, but at least in MY experience, it rebounds quickly. I do medical, legal, and law enforcement work -- all my companies know I have satellite and have no issues with it. If it is your only choice, then it is better than nothing. But I am on the call list for any and all DSL providers in my area and will be the first one signed up if it ever does make its way here.
