The position
TASK Transcription is seeking an MT Team Leader. As the Team Leader you will monitor the queue of jobs of our medical accounts then decide which jobs you will assign to which MTs on your team and which jobs you will transcribe, if any. You will QA the jobs done by others and then release them to our clients. In the case of two small hospitals, you will manually post completed reports into their EHR system. You will provide initial and ongoing training/QA feedback to new and existing MTs. There will be minimal interaction with some clients via email. This is straight transcription with no VR.
There will be an extended transition period into this position. You will begin by learning the accounts as a transcriptionist under the existing Team Leader before adding Team Leader responsibilities.
You will be asked to transcribe two brief dictations as part of our evaluation process.
This is a part-time to nearly full-time, primarily five-days/week, independent contractor position. Minimal weekend work will need to be managed as well. There is time flexibility during the day balanced by when the clients need the work delivered.
About you
This position requires someone who enjoys being the person who ensures that the clients reports are accurately transcribed and delivered on time. This person also needs to enjoy helping other MTs be better than they already are.
The clients you will support are a mix of hospitals, clinics, surgery centers, and private practice physicians. You will need to show significant experience, at least 10 years, in all of these contexts.

About Pay
We pay via direct deposit, twice a month, and net-15 based on semi-monthly billing periods. We pay 8 cents/65-characters-with-spaces line for transcription. Pay terms for the Team Leader position will be discussed during the interview process.
About technology
You will need your own PC, MS Word, transcription app (e.g. Express Scribe), and a good internet connection.
