I have a legal account that I do on the side as a supplement to my full-time MT job. It is NOT easy. You are right, legal is, hands down, the most difficult type of transcription there is and $1.75 per page is nowhere NEAR adequate for this type of work. In fact, it's a ripoff. Like you said, you are dealing with MULTIPLE speakers at once and many times it's impossible to differentiate who is speaking. Then, there's also the horrible audio quality that you have to deal with. Yeah, I would NEVER do legal work for this sweatshop pay.
