Another thing wrong with offshore transcription is that even though the rates sound appealing at first, whereas, United States-based transcriptionists (who charge honestly and reasonably for work) charge companies once for any template that is built for use in their reports. Offshore companies charge per line everytime in reports that use the same verbage over and over, (sometimes a whole page), which adds up over time as we all know and ends up costing the doctors we use to transcribe for more money. They have also been threatened with witholding of reports if they do not pay their bill. Wnat kind of company does that, especially when it comes to patient care? Just saying.
