…I’ve never heard of anyone not having a checking account in this day and age. At many banks, it’s free to open an account. Some of the credit unions only require $5 to open an account, and some accounts pay interest. I would think it would be easier to have a checking account than trying to cash a paper check, definitely safer than carrying cash.
