I didn't like that either when I worked for them. The timing was never the same, so if you had certain things to pay for, you better have a reserve on hand because like the other post stated, could be 3 days or a week.
It's bad enough not knowing how much work you are going to have and when you are going to have it, all the free work you do, all the QA misery, but not to be paid in a timely matter is not acceptable!
