I did open it up - MT life

Of course, you have to open it up to clean inside of it, but then my husband and I opened it again to see if we could figure out what was wrong. There's a tiny little button that is activated when you push down on the pedal. We kept pushing the button with our fingers and listening to the audio. It was still doing it, so the problem seems to be inside the little switch.

When I bought the new one, I was thinking about getting one of the newer models, but I was afraid it wouldn't be compatible with Express Scribe. The one I'm using is a USB but I also have a 9-pin foot pedal that only worked with one contract I used to have. At that time, I had both foot pedals going and had to switch between them depending on what job I was working on.
