Most MTSOs now hire only ICs (no benefits, no PTO, no holiday pay, no bonuses--just straight production pay). Most of them require you to maintain a schedule and do a certain amount of lines per shift, which is against the law since you work for yourself as a 1099 IC. Companies don't care if you don't comply with their demands as there are plenty of MTs who will take whatever abuse the company dishes out just to have a job.
