Take a look at the Job Seeker's board. Search the companies in the archives here for some background. Use a job site (Indeed, Simply Hired, etc) and look under medical transcription or transcription and see what comes up. Those sites also have information about companies too.

Figure out what your situation is and what you want. Full time or part time? Editing or straight or both? What platforms do you have experience on? Employee or IC? Will this be your only job or do you have another? Is this your only income or do you live with another/others? What's your training? If you went to a school, they can usually point you in some good directions and give advice on applying.

When it comes to companies, it's not really best or worst. Everyone has their own experience so it's kind of a gray area. There are scams out there so be careful. If something sounds too good to be true, I can almost promise you it is. If someone says you have to take their course or spend money, move on. Check back here on the company board. Ask questions. Take the answers that apply to you or that are helpful..discard the rest. Keep going.

Good luck to you.
