Give it two weeks, if you last that long with them. If it isn't what they said it would be quit and find something else. Right now there are quite a few MT jobs out there. I get emails from Indeed with all kinds listed.
Is this an employee position? You may have to settle for IC if it is and doesn't work out. I never go into a job with any expectations anymore. Hope for the best, expect the worst. I have quit after one day it was so bad.
