Two things:
(1) Your statement that MT work will become non existant due to "facilities are using point-and-click, template, and front-end VR systems that have the practitioners doing a lot of their own recordkeeping." Doctors will tell a different reality.
(2) Once you have 10 to 20 years of experience under your belt, then you can feel confident and continue working as an MT. Most of the "happy" and content MT's are the ones who supplement their income with SS or another source of income. You cannot simply rely on MT income as your ONLY source of income. It has to be supplemental income, only.
