You will be constantly doing different dictators. You can never name your price. Auditors and QA are inconsistent. You will run out of work. You will no way in hell make 20 dollars an hour. That is so far from the truth. If you are making 20 an hour, you're working your fingers to the bone or have easy accounts or are paid a better wage, have your own accounts and never have a life.

Something tells me your post is a fishing expedition for material to maybe write an article on the subject. Here's a good title - IC MT - the biggest scam in America.

You do realize that when we contract for companies that are contracting with Nuance and MModal that we are merely setting up our offshore labor partners for easier editing.

If you do have your own accounts, please know at any moment they can go with a cheaper offshore company with no notice at all. Your work just disappears.

MT is being replaced by automation. End of story.
