Experience Makes a Good Point - Killer Angel

Fluency, unless it has changed in the last 2 years, does not let you see who, what (in terms of work type) or how much is in your work pool. The MTSO can set how many jobs (1, 2 or possibly more) are in your queue at any one time. They only appear as job numbers and whether or not they are STAT. The MTSO can reserve jobs to your queue. If I remember correctly, they appear as the job number with an R.

The queue is actually a nice feature because the next job downloads while you are working on the active file. When you complete the active file, the next report automatically loads and is ready to go. You don't have to wait around on the system looking for your next job and downloading it after each report.

That being said, it is important to understand how to signal the system that you are getting ready to quit for the day and don't want another file sent to your queue. The MTSO can (and you know they WILL) keep track of how many and which files you abandon. You don't want that to be because you are logging off incorrectly. Fluency may also automatically log you off the system if you abandon a job. If you sign back in, that same job may well still be there for you unless you're gone for an hour or more.

For the original poster, another tip is to make sure you understand how the recover job feature works. If your computer or your Internet or maybe even Fluency itself "burps" in the middle of a report and you have to sign back into the system, there may be a copy of the report available to you and "correct" to the point you were at as of the last autosave. Unfortunately, my experience is that this is not 100%, especially on a long report and it's Fluency that's doing the "burping", but it's really nice to have when it DOES work!
