I also ordered a desktop tower with the specs for about two hundred dollars and it works perfectly fine. I do pay a subscription for office 365 9.99 a month for Word because you do need to have Word on your PC, preferably at least Word 2013 Professional, but they keep becoming obsolete, so I went with office 365.
I have nothing else on my PC. I can access e-mail and websites, but I don't have pics or iTunes and no one else uses this PC for anything. It's just my work computer. Tons of space.
Good luck to us all! I don't mind VDI. Yes, there are issues once in a while, but nothing that can't be handled swiftly and it is nice to finally work on accounts and get familiar and stay on those accounts and get better production. I love EScription.
