I have to admit it was easy being lulled into a false sense of job security at AQ. Back then, things were often busy for me, working on 2 different platforms with overtime hours offered fairly frequently. So, while MT has been in a steady state of decline as a whole for probably way more than 10 years now, some of us haven't felt the full effect from that until just fairly recent, and now even more so because of Covid-19.
The layoffs, firings, reduction in hours are here - affecting us all now.
So, if anyone has a plan B, now's the time to take it to the next level. Polish up the resume, check out the labor market trends on the web, etc. We're going through very strange times right now, and we don't know what the employment scene is going to look like in the coming months to years..
