If you would make it a "pus-containing" wound, e.g., at least that would be closer to the actual meaning. But I still disagree with using anything but the word "pussy" when it's dictated that way.
"Pussy" in this context is not slang like pee-pee or doo-doo, so not comparable. The only issue is that it is similar to *another* slang word, not that the word itself is slang.
