Precise/nThrive has a lot of open cancer registry positions but just remember where they are located and all that entails, these jobs maybe going the same way as transcription. The facility where I work employs a couple of registrars and an assistant who doesn’t have a certification, but a person basically has to wait for someone to retire to have a chance at all. These jobs are not very plentiful normally, it appears that Precyse might have picked up a big account. You do need certification, it is at least a 2-year program; coding background is helpful and you have to maintain CECs. They don’t mention pay but I think it’s probably equivalent to coding under normal circumstances.
