ER work, while increased are limited in amount they can turn out in a given amount of time, cannot make up for all the multiple clinic visits seen by multiple providers in a single clinic along with letters on those patients that are gone and all the routine surgeries cancelled with their H and P, and consultation reports and all the testing reports, and the normal ER work. Some ER physicians/NPs have had to scale back the amount of info they dictate, too, just to be able to handle volumes of patients seen.
