The other - difference is pay rate sm

Mostly straight typing currently for medical reports is 8 cents per 65 character line to include spaces. For voice recognition, it is 4 cents per 65 character line to include spaces.

With medical reports and medical transcription platforms, some things are not paid such as filling in demographic information or if the headings are built in, etc.

There are a lot of variables. I have seen where for medical meetings they will pay per audio minute, so basically you're either transcribing verbatim what everyone is saying where you're paid, of course, but also even dead air, like say, when someone is pondering the answer the question and the recording is still going, you're also still paid since it is per audio minute.
