Goodness, No - From Speech Wreck Poster

Posted: Feb 7th, 2020 - 1:50 pm In Reply to: What is meant by "straight transcription"? - Nancy Domenichelli

All transcriptionist should follow screen as they transcribe, and fix errors as they go along. All good transcriptionists do that, and they also give a quick eyeball or fast read before they send.

On a speeck wreck report, I used to listen to entire report and read with the voice, and fix errors as I saw them. At the very end (if it was a difficult report), I'd put the voice on full-boost fast and read along against the voice.

I am curious as to what prompted your question. Originally, I had assumed it had to do with speech wreck, but in your comment, you seemed to not be sure MT should be editing as they straight type.
