Express Scribe - Pro or Basic - For Use With Inifinity IN-USB-1 Foot Pedal - Toni

Hello, I need to be able to use my Infinity IN-USB-1 foot pedal with a player that plays .dss files.  I am able to convert .dss files to .wav files and play on Windows Media Player with my foot pedal, but the player has the rewind function grayed out, apparently a Microsoft issue, I always have issues where MS is concerned.  My only other option, after much research on how to use my foot pedal to play .dss files, whether as a .dss file or a .wav file, is to purchase Express Scribe. Does anyone know if it's necessary to purchase the Pro version or can I just go with the Basic?  Thanks in advance.
