I'm hearing from a couple of people I worked with that the same things are going on - if you go over 40 hours a week you get chewed out unless it's in mandatory overtime time but if you get days with a lot of dictators from heck you can't hit the line count and get chewed out for that. I was also glad to accept the check I got. I also quit over the ridiculous "gotcha" rules - especially those that require you leave out clearly dictated things.
